The Kimball County Sheriff's Office, is a law enforcement agency, an arm of the courts, and the custodial keeper of those who break the law. It is the mission of the Kimball County Sheriff's Office to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Kimball County, to preserve the peace, and to prevent crime and

disorder while upholding the Constitution of the United States and laws of the State of Nebraska. This must be done with honor and integrity, conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.

COUNTY JAIL:

The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the operation of the County Jail and for providing safe and secure housing to all persons remanded to the custody of the Kimball County Sheriff.

The Kimball County Sheriff’s Department services the secure detention needs of the criminal justice community, together with the public safety needs of the citizens of Kimball County. All incarceration is managed by policies that hold inmates accountable for their behavior. 


Jail Rules

  • Inmates are allowed to post bond through the Kimball County Sheriff's Office daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 
  • All bonds must be cash, bank transfer or a wire transfer
  • Bonds are subject to fines and costs being with held
  • Visitation for inmates will be Monday's and Thursday's from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitation times may be limited to 20 minutes so that adequate time is allowed for each inmate. Visitation will not be allowed on holiday's or times the Court House is closed. 
  • Anyone wishing to visit will be required to be 18 years old or accompanied by a parent, show photo identification, not be on probation, parole, or diversion, and subject to being searched prior to visitation. 
  • Kimball County Sheriff's Office will take no personal property for inmates during the period of their incarceration.
  • Personal items are purchased through the Sheriff's Office with inmate funds. Absolutely no personal items will be brought into the jail.
