    Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes are due by December 31st.  1st half must be paid by April 30th and the 2nd half must be paid by August 31st to avoid interest. Interest rate is 14%

    Nebraska statutes 77-1801 thru 77-1941 pertains to buying and foreclosing on tax sale certificates. You are not purchasing the property. You have no authority over the property. You are purchasing a tax lien on the property by paying the delinquent taxes. Foreclosure process may begin in three years if the owner of the property has not redeemed the taxes.   • To bill and collect all real estate and personal property taxes in the County
  • To issue motor vehicle titles
  • To register all motor vehicles with situs in the County
  • To register motor boats
  • To register snowmobiles
  • To issue driver licenses, CDL’s, learner permits, ID cards, school permits, etc.
  • To disburse collections to the proper political subdivision
  • To bill and collect Landfill fees for rural residents
